My obsession with boats started as a child. Most summer weekends, as a boy, were spent on the Ohio or one of the area lakes with my parents on our family's boat.  I have been a boat owner myself for over 30 years. I have always performed most of my own maintenance and have even completed a full vessel restoration project.

In 2020, after more than 30 years of employment with a Fortune 500 corporation, I had the opportunity to attend Chapman's School of Seamanship Yacht and Small Craft Survey School. The knowledge I gained from attending Chapman's has allowed me to turn my life long love affair with boats and the water into a career.

 

We are a family owned and oriented business. My wife and I are still avid boaters with our home port being Lake Cumberland hence the inspiration for our business name. I perform the hands-on survey and report writing tasks while my wife tends to the business matters and provides technical support.
